Have you ever wonder what you can do with left over candle wax at the bottom of the jar? Or tarts after the scent is gone? You can make DIY fire starter logs with recycled candle wax for free. 

Here's what you'll need. 

• Dryer lint
• Empty paper towel or toilet paper rolls
• candle wax

When you finish a roll of paper towels or toilet paper keep a collection in your laundry room. When you free the dryer from lint just add it to the paper roll. Keep stuffing until you have the dryer lint really packed in there. 

Save your candle jars that are too low to safely burn anymore. You can heat the jar on a candle plate or on the stove in a pan with a little water at the bottom. You can also use the wax in your tart burner that is no longer fragrant. I just turn on my tart burner until the wax is just starting to melt. 

Be careful when handling hot wax.

You protective gloves or take precautions to keep from getting burned. 

I use an empty soup can to hold the paper roll filled with dryer lint. Carefully pour the melted wax into the paper roll onto the dryer lint. You will want to let one side dry then turn over and fill the other side. 

Now you have your own handmade fire starter logs.
