Mixing your own custom grain for goats just got easier.

We started mixing our grain for our goats. It gives you a lot of control over ingredients. I think you need to do what's best for your goats and what's accessible in your area. We wanted to start feeding our goats non-gmo. As it turned out this wasn't as easy as I thought. It was really hard to find a mix just right for our goats at a price that's affordable.

Mixing your own custom grain for goats just got easier! Invest in a small concrete mixer. We got ours from Harbor Freight. It's a great price and does what we need it do. We source grains in our area that are non-gmo and/or organic. We use grains like oats, barley, alfalfa pellets,  black oil sunflower seeds, flax, non-gmo corn and at times we can get field peas that are non-gmo. We also add Diamond V Yeast, organic herbs and raspberry leaves. We add enough molasses to coat the grain and help it all bind.

Add grains and herbs in a ratio that is right for you.

I add the molasses last and turn on the mixer. I adjust the mixer as it's mixing to make sure everything is getting blended. We store in air tight containers and our goats eat it up.
